Situation: The horses have got the positions shown below
at the end of a round of cards. All have got 3 cards left. Red
rolls 5 & 3. He knows that black has got yet one Joker 10 and
one Joker 11 and that his third card cannot be 3-6. Red’s one
cards aren’t that strong (4,7 & 8). He doesn’t want to be passed
by black in anyway.
Question: How many digits must red determine to make sure
that black will not pass him up to the winning post?
Hints for dissovling: If red will make sure not to be passed by black, moves are to be
made in a way that leads to an unavoidable fall of black a the
last fence. Consider the cards that must be played after the
round of dice.
